Words

Owen has some words he seems to say sometimes (Hi, Hey, momma, ball, yay - the last accompanied by clapping) and some he is definitely signing (milk, done, eat, and he's made up signs for want - when he wants something - and for happy - when he likes something). He knows a lot more than he can do. He gets very excited when I sign "book," - he really loves books. He is pulling himself up to his knees and can kneel on his own while examining things without tipping over too often. He is also endlessly amused by putting his ball into the dog's mouth and then taking it back to put in his own. Not my favorite activity, but he loves it. What's amazing is that Aspen let's him take the ball back - she would never in a million years do that for another dog.

Cold and rainy today. Got the iron safety gate set up around the wood stove. Phew. I need a full day just to get the rest of the baby-proofing done!
